No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, embeds no analytics or advertising services and loads no resources from third-party servers. Fonts are served locally; there is no connection to Google Fonts or similar services.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The data centres are located in Germany. When a page is accessed, STRATO processes technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type and referring page) in order to deliver the page and to fend off attacks. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

Contact form

If you use the form, I process your details solely to handle the enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Your message is sent as an email through STRATO’s servers to my mailbox and stays there while the enquiry is open. I keep no database for it. I do not pass the details to third parties and delete them once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention periods apply.

Protecting the form from machines

To keep programs from abusing the form, the server briefly stores a check mark computed from your IP address and a secret value. It only detects very rapid repeats, cannot be turned back into an IP address and is never linked to your message. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the contact route usable (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
